What is Meditation?

Meditation is a process that cultivates and fosters a higher quality of inner life.

Unique Meditations

Problem and Solution

Scientifically, Just as a lack of physical exercise can lead to physical health issues, neglecting the mind can have similar consequences. Meditation is a mental practice that develops and enhances the mind. Even if you consider yourself mentally healthy, meditation can enhance your mind further.

Personal

We all have goals and aspirations, but many struggle to reach them due to a lack of core competencies. Even in great environments, without strong competence, success can feel out of reach, leading to frustration and unfulfillment. Instead of taking responsibility, we tend to blame society or attribute our challenges to fate, bad luck, or karma, forgetting the importance of personal growth and accountability. By developing our minds, we can actualize our potential and may create the life we want.

Meditation is an effective and economical way to develop our mind and actualize our potential.

The Past:

In my opinion, the origin of every human problem lies in our evolution. Considering the way species evolve, it typically takes millions of years to adapt through trial and error. However, according to evolutionary science, the human brain has evolved much more rapidly than expected. This remains a mystery in science, and this mystery has sparked many theories across cultures. Due to the more dominant activity of our primitive brain, which evolved to handle basic survival functions like fear and aggression, the newer, more complex neocortex often remains underutilized. This is why Homo sapiens are the only species that require education and conscious parenting. The neocortex requires active engagement to function at its full potential.

Meditation is one of the effective methods, backed by science, to activate and develop the neocortex.

The Present:

That being said, people in the 21st century are more mentally stimulated than ever before. A 30-year-old person has seen and experienced more technological development than all of humanity combined has ever seen. Due to the rapid advancement in external technology, we have become extremely stimulated. According to science, a mind that is overstimulated over time becomes insensitive, numb, depressive, and lifeless. This means your ability to perceive and experience life dramatically decreases. As your perception of life diminishes, so do your creativity, competency, and overall quality of life.
Now, I am not against external development; I am 100% in favor of it. However, I am also 100% in favor of internal development. We need to maintain balance to thrive.

Meditation is one of the most effective practices to help you become sensitive and alive — 100% for internal development.

The Future:

Research shows rise of mental health issues among individuals will continue to rise unless proactive steps are taken.

Research supports the notion that familial mental health problems significantly elevate risks for future generations.

The study examined the effects of multigenerational family histories of depression, finding that children with two generations affected by depression had the highest risks for developing psychiatric disorders. This suggests a pattern where familial mental health issues significantly influence the mental health outcomes of subsequent generations. A massive potential risk to devolve as humanity.

This highlights the importance of early intervention and support systems to address mental health issues within families.
Studies support that meditation is one of the most effective interventions and support systems for mental health.
